How can this game plan still works.
|

The Blue Bulls Company Pty (Ltd) announced on Wednesday that
former Bulls stalwart Wilhelm Steenkamp will be returning to Loftus
Versfeld in 2012.
Steenkamp, currently playing for the Free State Cheetahs, left the Bulls
at the end of 2010 in search of more playing time at the central
franchise.
According to Steenkamp, it was a decision he could never regret,
saying: "At the time, I had to leave Pretoria in order to get more playing
opportunities. The Bulls had the most capped lock combination in the
world in Bakkies Botha and Victor Matfield playing for them and
although it was great to learn and train with them, I felt that my game
needed time on the pitch," he added.
"I am, however, ecstatic to be re-joining the Bulls in 2012."
On his time at the Cheetahs, he continued: "I am grateful to the
Cheetahs who provided me with the opportunity to play.
"I have grown as a player and a person while playing for the Cheetahs
and I will never stop appreciating the influence they had on my career. I
would like to thank them for that."
Steenkamp admitted that he was "coming home".

The Golden Lions continued their unbeaten start to the Currie Cup
season with a hard-fought 36-27 victory over our Blue Bulls in an ill-
disciplined clash at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.
Even more remarkably, our Blue Bulls, who had been infused with
several returning Springboks for this derby, currently lie rock bottom
of the standings on inferior points difference to the seventh-placed
Pumas.
The Lions’ team ethic came very much to the fore in Pretoria as they
scampered and scurried from start to finish, tackled with great zeal
and abrasiveness and as a result forced our Bulls into a sorry string
of penalty concessions - most often for offences at the breakdown.
The men led by captain Josh Strauss claimed our Blue Bulls as
their latest scalp, significantly winning 36-27 away and condemning
our team to a second game on the trot without even a losing bonus
point to show for their efforts.
If one look at the current log then it is clear that the Blue
Bull's game plan is not working. How the Blue Bull coaches
can still defend this game plan in an era of modern rugby is
unbelievable.
Lets look at the log:
1) Our Blue Bulls is last on the log with an inferior points
difference to the seventh-placed Pumas. Their log points is
4.
2) We have only scored 8 tries, which place our Bulls at the
bottom of the try scoring list; 2 tries below the Leopards
who have 10 tries.
3) Our Blue Bulls have only scored 83 points, which is also
the lowest on the log, with the Leopards one point better at
84.
4) We and the Leopards is the only teams without a single
bonus point.
It is clear that we are now in the league of the Pumas and
the Leopards, because of our lack of scoring tries.
Scorers:
Blue Bulls: Tries: Chiliboy Ralepelle, Stefan Watermeyer, Akona NdunganePenalties: Francois Brummer (4)
Golden Lions: Try: Josh Strauss, Michael Killian (2)Conversions: Elton Jantjies (3)
Penalties: Jantjies (5)

My Moeder is
Dít vra ek met "trane in my blou
Blou Bul oë!"
Ek bly 'n BUL!
