Ugly Bulls !!
My pleidooi?

Victor Matfield will call it a day after the World Cup in New Zealand next year. Speaking at a media conference on Friday, on the eve of his 100th Test, Matfield admitted that he does not see himself continuing beyond 2011. "Firstly, I am focussing on the next two weeks," Matfield said as he addressedthe media ahead the Tri-Nations Test against Australia at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday. "We have the Mandela Cup to win, as it is the only thing left for us to play for in this Tri-Nations and it is very important," he added. "The World Cup ... that will be the last [for me]. Nothing more than that," the 33-year-old lock said. Matfield said the celebration of his 100th Test cap is secondary to a much needed victory against Australia in Pretoria. "It's great to play my 100th Test at Loftus Versfeld, but it’s more important that we get a win." Asked about the Boks' goals for the next two weeks, with the Tri-Nations lost, Matfield said there is "still pride in playing for your country". "We can still get things back on track a little," he said of the back-to-back Tests against the Wallabies.

The Blue Bulls Company has decided to grant Bees Roux some leave until further notice and to exempt him from his rugby obligations for the time being. The executive officer of the BBC, Barend van Graan, said it is essential to grant Roux immediate leave after the incidents of the last couple of days. “He has been through some tough times in recent days and we feel it is appropriate to give him some time to recover from this,” Van Graan said. Roux was arrested early on Friday morning following the death of metro policeman Johannes Mohale in Pretoria. Mohale, 38, is believed to have been beaten to death in a sequence of events that is not yet clear. Roux was granted bail of R100 000 by the Pretoria District Court on Monday after spending the weekend in jail. He intended pleading not guilty to charges of murder and driving under the influence of alcohol, the court heard. The matter was postponed to October 15.
